About Us
WE DESIRE TO BE
A GREAT Church
The GREAT Commandment | The GREAT Commission | The GREAT Compassion: the principles of these scriptures guide our mission as a church. We are committed to loving God wholeheartedly and extending that love to others in our community and beyond. This love shapes our worship, relationships, and every aspect of our ministry.
Compassion is at the heart of who we are. We believe in serving others selflessly, meeting practical needs, and offering kindness and care to those facing challenges. Through acts of service, we aim to reflect God’s love in a tangible way.
Together, these principles inspire us to be a church that brings hope, healing, and transformation to the world. We invite you to be part of this journey.
Our Story
Based on God’s word as recorded in Matthew 18:20, which reads, “For where two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them,” the church was officially organized on Thursday evening, September 24, 1981, in the assembly room of the WestEnd Lions Club. The organization papers were signed by six organizing members, two by baptism, another with immediate letters, and three by Christian experience.
Our Core Values
TOGETHER WE R.I.S.E.
Restore One Another Through Relationships
We believe healing happens in community, not in isolation. Through authentic relationships, we walk with one another in grace, accountability, and love because no one is meant to journey alone.
Impact the Community Around Us
Our faith shows up beyond the church walls. We are committed to serving, advocating, and investing in our neighbors in practical ways that reflect God’s justice, compassion, and hope.
Strengthen One Another Through Scripture
God’s Word shapes who we are and how we live. Scripture grounds our faith, guides our decisions, and equips us to grow as disciples in every season of life.
Experience God Through Worship
Worship is more than a moment it is a meeting with the living God. Through praise, prayer, and proclamation, we encounter God’s presence and are transformed to live out our faith daily.
